We Have the Power to Impact Our Future, and We’re Doing Something About It
Good Shepherd Ranch is located on the western slope of Colorado, is a 960-acre site that spans both Montrose and San Miguel counties, and is less than one mile west of the intersection of the Ouray County line.
This region contains private agriculturally zoned land surrounded by multiple forest areas. The Uncompaghre National Forest is to the north and west and the San Juan Mountain Range to the south.
We are a small fourth-generation, family and veteran-owned summer sheep grazing operation, well established in the local community for over 72 years. Our acreage is primarily open pasture with several clusters of aspen and ponderosa pine trees.
Sustainable energy solutions
We use geothermal, solar and hydroelectricity energy systems to farm sustainably.
Advanced automated systems
We use an advanced irrigation system to reliably treat our water while growing our crops.
climate-smart farm commodities
Whether it’s leafy greens, fungi, medicinal plants or fortified saplings we’re working towards the future.
